Rafa is a mercenary cunt. If he's above Bilic on their shortlist, the latter should decline the job out of principle.

Like he does with transfers, Sulli has his banker (Bilic) sorted while he lines up bigger fish. Emery & Biesla my faves of those mentioned. Not talking about Klopp coz I can't see it happening - same with Ancelotti.

Bilic's club form has been spectacularly average. Hadjuk is the Celtic of the Croatian League. It was always either first or second when he took over and lead them to second.
Besiktas is usually in the top three. He lead them to fourth and third. Hence they probably don't think he's anything special and sacked him.
Russia was a debacle.
I doubt the Daves are seriously considering him if there are better possibilities around.

I'm not sure about Bilic. I reckon there is a world of difference between managing an international team that gathers only a few times a year and managing a club side week after week.
Bilic clearly failed at Lokomotive Moscow where he finished 9th which was easily their lowest league position since 1980. They normally finish top 3 or 4.
I like the idea of Klopp or Ancelotti but perhaps they are a step too far for us....

He was not sacked but Bilic say's just heard it live on Turkish TV that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season. He knows the game inside and out and will make the fans happy with his style so its all down to the chairmen maybe they have done a few taps. Personally I am not sure but he is much better than Allardyce regarding style and tactics.

Although we're in a period where there's some good candidates, I just don't think they'll take a bloke that doesn't speak English.
If Rafa had agreed but then said no twice as has been reported I'd tell him to fuck off anyway.
BILIC IN.

One thing we do offer a manager is a project without the pressure to deliver immediately, but a chance of crashing into the upper reaches in the next 3 years.
Frankly I think this appointment needs to find 'our' Wenger...someone to buy into the club and define how our club gets built for the forseeable...actually the thing that makes me think Benitez is the wrong guy and an Ancellotti might be the right guy.

Re: Bilic sacked

Our target is surely still Rafa. Liverpool binning Rodgers could shake it all up a bit though...would they take him back?
Contenders for me seem to be:
Benitez (if not at Real) Ancellotti (if not at Real and a sales pitch can be done on him) Emery (given the reports he was interested...and the statement about the quality of interested parties if true implies it might be) Rodgers (if replaced at Liverpool) Bilic (probably the fall back option...but he won't mind given we're his potential ticket to the big time)
Klopp and Bielsa most unlikely given Klopp is flavour of the month and likely to take a top top job next...he could only diminish his standing with us, and Bielsa a huge wild card.
